I came to visit my family in Macduff and chose this hotel as I've stayed here before. The hotel is very well refurbished. It is clean and Tidy and the rooms are just perfect, cosy, comfortable and well designed. We'll what can i say about the staff.... simply amazing in every way. We cant thank them enough for there hospitality and friendliness. The food is lovely. There are beautiful views overlooking the harbour far into the distance of the East Coast. My daughter and i shall be returning next year most definitely.
What a wonderful experience - I travel a lot for work and generally as a single person get little to no service, nor the nicest rooms. This could not be further from my experience here!
All of the staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful from start to finish. The food is amazing and by far one of the nicest meals I've had on my travels - for a reasonable price too. The bar and hotel have a lovely, cosy feel with a modern touch.
The room I was in had everything you could need with some nice extra details like a well equipped and very modern bathroom, the biggest bed I've ever seen, the room was warm and had a comfy chair with 2 windows to look out of over beautiful views of the sea and harbour, even in winter weather.
Parking is ample and easy - no need to register your vehicle or pay to park. I highly recommend and will definitely return, both for work and with the family.
Lovely relaxing hotel to stay in. I came to visit family in November. The staff were very kind and welcoming, friendly and a joy to talk to. The hotel was immaculate. Everyone was very accommodating. The rooms are clean and Perfectly set …
Quite a disappointing visit this time around. There was a Burns supper going on in the function suite and a full restaurant so the pressure was on. Staff were clearly very busy but just couldn't attend as they should. |We waited for 20 …
Went for dinner as a family to celebrate a birthday.
Although we had to give our meal choices days in advance, our starters took almost an hour to be served. Our drinks also took 45 minutes to arrive from ordering.
Mens toilets were freezing. No hot water - it was like washing with ice. Even the dryers blew icy air.
Seats were also placed too close together that it was unpleasant to drink or cut food. The restaurant should have placed another table on our row.
I ordered the The Classic Rosini medium and it was beautiful.
Despite the incredibly slow service the food was delicious.
As no lift on offer stayed in a lovely room up a few flight of stairs. Unfortunately did not have superb view as from other rooms but met needs
Very comfy and good size. A good selection for breakfast beautifully cooked
Very friendly and actuating staff .
My work put me up here for a night while working away, a little bit off the beaten track but no complaints about the hotel, the staff were very welcoming and pleasant on arrival, during my meal and at breakfast. The food was great, I had the roast beef dinner and can honestly say it has been the best roast beef I've had in a while. The breakfast was also well cooked and presented in the morning. My room was comfortable and clean. The views were very good over the harbour, sun was out for a change so made it all the more enjoyable. I had a better sleep than usual ( not a great sleeper outside my own bed) as the bed was comfy and rooms quiet. All in all a very nice experience and would definitely pop in again, maybe try the delicious looking surf and turf the table next to me was enjoying 😁
I am gluten intolerant and I can honestly say this restaurant offers among the best choices options I’ve experienced in a long time. The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious. I really cannot fault the restaurant at this hotel.
This will be based on personal opinion. The location was nicely away from the main road with views across the sea and a large spacious dining area with the accommodating view. Plenty of space for parking as my worry was having an 18ton truck it may be a little tight but it was fine. Nice friendly staff on hand to help. However my room was number 1 and didn't really have any view as the windows were small and overlooked the roof of what I took to be the restaraunt and back of building which was undergoing some renovation. I am sure other rooms will have a great view so overall a pleasant enough stay.
